Coming from the Linux world I was able to change the wallpaper, themes and icons on my desktop. While I was obsessed with this for a while, it got old. I'd still like to tweak my desktop some. Not as much as before.

I see Mac's OS (Lion) does not offer many options. What's available for the Mac. Preferably free and compatible ( and safe ) with Lion. Both themes and icons. I have no problems with changing wallpaper. But I don't know much about the theme and icon options out there.

Candybar can change both your icons and dock. As for themes, there aren't really any. There is the occasionally partial theme, but every OS update breaks it.
