Hallo,

My iMac is not shutting down (roll down menu is just disappearing once i click on it) and the INTEGO icon of my security system vanished;although I can access the security system via spotlight. The check is not showing any virus. I use still OSX 10.4. 'Sleep' is working.

Can somebody help me ?

try downloading the the 10.4.11 combo update from apple (intel or PPC - whatever is correct). The refresh should rejuvenate your system and get rid of that bug

Thank You, it worked !

One more question : The tab 'Your software has been upgraded successfully' does not go away although I upgraded and restartet.Of course I can live with it but it should not be on the screen all the time.

Turn off that stupid Intego "anti-virus" software. That should clear the problems right up.
