I have a Mac Pro memory 2GB, Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo I am pretty sure I have Snow Lepard sp on my mac... but I want to up grade to Lion so I can get iCloud... if I just up load Lion my Intel Core will also upgrade to handle iCloud it needs an Intel Core of 3 or more to handle iCloud... I am a tech-no-nothing... what's a gal to do..buy a new mac?

If you have an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, you already qualify for Lion. Just visit the Mac App Store (which should be on your dock if you really are running Snow Leopard) and buy Lion and let it install.

Obviously, BEFORE YOU DO THIS you should a) make sure your OS is up to the latest version ... for Snow Leopard that would be 10.6.8. And you should OF COURSE make a full backup using either Time Machine or whatever you use for your backups.
