This has probably been answered already but i might as well make it my first post.
I have recently been giving a mac G5 PPC and i would like to know the following: What is the maximum memory i can install in to it? What is the Latest/ best / fastest Graphics card i can install in it? If this type of mac is going to be able to do any gaming on it? Specs: Power Mac G5 CPU Type: Power Pc 970 (2.2) No. Of CPU's: 2 CPU Speed: 2 GHz Memory: 2GB Bus Speed: 1 GHz Thanks guys. Stevie |

Depends on the model. The info given is not enough. Powermac G5's with the specs given can have either a 4gig or 8gig ram max.

I was thinking more of Star Wars old republic and maybe a bit of cod or counter strike (anything Steam platformed) Sounds like i might as well buy a G5 with an intel processor haha It will do for final cut and photoshop for now though Thanks again pal. |
