I've searched in previous discussion on this topic, but none proposed a solution; I also searched on the Internet, but the only application I found (Hyperspaces) is not compatible with Lion.
So, my question is: is there any 3rd-party software I can install that will transform back the new "Mission Control" into the old "Spaces". What I want to do, is just to have the various desktops placed in a 2-dimensional grid (as they used to be), rather than in a 1-dimensional line, as they are now. Is this possible? |

The closest I've found is ReSpaceApp. It's not perfect, full screen apps disappear from the grid, but it may be enough for what you are looking for.
