I believe that I have a virus on my iMac but would like to know how to identify.

G'day and welcome to the forums.

Whilst there are no Mac OS X viruses there are a few malware/trojans. Tell us what your problem is?

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
