    resetting Macbook
    I am getting rid of my Macbook and want to insure that my privacy is protected. So the question is What is the best or easiest way to accomplish this.

    Thanks in advance for any and all help.

    2011 13" MBP 2.3ghz, 8gig ram, OS 10.8.5

    Do a secure erase of the hard drive...then reinstall the OS.

    Thanks Nick, Any tips on secure erasure would be appreciated. Never done one before.
