HI,

I am trying to install Adobe after effects on my imac. Im very aware that after effects only runs in 64 bit but that shouldnt be a problem as untill now ive been pretty sure my mac has been running in 64 bit.

I get an error message at the start of the installation saying that After Effects can only be installed on a 64 bit system.

does anyone know why this is?
QUOTE Thanks

If your iMac is what you're showing in your profile specs, then no it's not a 64 bit machine. You're showing a PPC G4 which is a 32 bit Power PC machine that can not run an Intel only app nor any apps designed for 64 bit.
