Hi all,

I'm not a mac person, so forgive me if this is a simple question. I'm helping a professor set up his laptop with the projector, and the native 1920x1080 resolution is definitely the best when the projector is plugged in. However, when he goes out of fullscreen on a PowerPoint presentation, the resolution quickly switches back to 1024x768, or something much smaller than what I had set it to. Is there some setting in PowerPoint that I can switch to make this work? Normally I'd test it myself, but I need to go to his next class knowing how to do this, and I don't have a mac of my own. Thanks!

Regardless of what the resolution of the Mac is, it will display the Powerpoint presentation at the resolution of the projector when on screen. And I'm reasonably sure the projector can not display at a resolution of 1920 x 1080. As a matter of fact, 1024 x 768 is about what most DLP projectors do at their highest resolution. I'm sure there are better projectors that can do higher resolutions but would be very costly.
