    Driver Versions
    Hello All,

I'm running OS X 10.7.3 and am relatively new to the OS X platform (recent convert from you know where).

Anyway, I can't seem to find in OS X where the various drivers are listed so I can verify version numbers.

Particularly, we recently installed a Quadro 4000 in a MAC PRO and installed the latest driver from NVIDIA. I'd like to verify that the driver version installed was what I actually downloaded.

Where can we find this information?

    Try this:

Click on your Apple menu top left on screen, select "About This Mac". Then select the "System Report" tab. Scroll on down to "Hardware", "Graphic Displays".

You should see a version number listed for the driver currently being used.

You can also get to the same information by clicking on Applications, Utilities, System

We've tried that before and it seems we get everything BUT the driver versions!

    ATI Radeon HD 4870:

Chipset Model: ATI Radeon HD 4870
    Type: GPU
    Bus: PCIe
    Slot: Slot-1
    PCIe Lane Width: x16
    VRAM (Total): 1024 MB
    Vendor: ATI (0x1002)
    Device ID: 0x9440
    Revision ID: 0x0000
    ROM Revision: 113-B7710C-176
    EFI Driver Version: 01.00.318

This is how it should appear. Of course this is from an ATI Radeon HD4870. Usually the latest nVidia drivers are included with the latest Software Updates.
Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

Yea, that's what we see too, but mine doesn't show a Driver Version (NVIDIA QUADRO 4000).

Is that because NVIDIA is not supplying that information for some reason?
