    Rosetta not working
I just installed snow leopard 10.6.8 from tiger and I can't get Rosetta to work. I reinstalled off Apple disks...... no luck, just a bouncing icon for a couple seconds.

What is bouncing. You cant launch Rosetta on its own, it only kicks in when you launch a PowerPC only app on an Intel Mac

Agreed with Louis. Are you trying to run Rosetta all by itself? If so, it will not run. Launch a Power PC Application. Does that work?

Generally the first time you use an Application that requires Rosetta one gets the little message box asking if you want to install it. Have a look at this link:-

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
