A little while ago I was watching a youtube video on Safari when all of a sudden my screen went dark and I got what I now know was a kernel panic message. I shut the system down and then powered up again but I only saw later that I should have restarted in safe mode. It started up again ok and I copied the panic report (see below). It really bothered me as I rely on my Macbook Pro for work and for a volunteer position. I can't really afford to be out of action. It's been a bit odd for a couple of days though--hanging in Firefox and yesterday when I powered on it asked me to join a network and it didn't recognize my usual network. Also it said that my date and clock were set to a date that was prior to 12 March 2012, but it wasn't. Is it a coincidence that these two things (the stuff yesterday and now the kernel panic) happened together? What should I do? I do still have Apple Care, so should I use that?

Thank you so much--I'm so grateful that I found this forum as I don't know what else I would have done.

It looks like there may have been a problem with a web page and perhaps the Safari cache. Click on the Safari main menu and select "Reset Safari". When the dialog opens, remove the checks from those items you do not wish to be cleared like your bookmarks. Resetting should clear the history and caches.
QUOTE Thanks
