Hi everyone,

I want to ask about my photo folders on my hard drive.
I've all those pics in iPhoto.
Should I keep those pics or delete them to create more space?
Deleting these photo folder will delete pics from iPhoto too or not?
Please explain in details as I am new to mac and I am happy I moved.
Thanks in advance.
with best

If you don't already have one you really NEED to get an external HD and backup your Mac. Once you have that, then removing duplicates becomes less of an issue. Without the backup all of your photos are hostage to a potential corruption of the iPhoto library (doesn't happen often, but it does happen).

I've always wanted to be smart, handsome and modest. But, I guess I'll have to be satisfied with two out of three . . .

It will depend on your settings in iPhoto Preferences>Advanced, when you imported them. If you had the Copy To iPhoto Library option unticked, then if you delete them from your hard drive, they will be lost from iPhoto
