How do I change the start up page from the Apple page to Google page on the 11 inch Macbook..
The instructions for doing it on the 13 inch MacBook Air do not seem to apply as there is no General Tab in system preferences.
QUOTE Thanks

It's not in System preferences on either. It's in Safari - Preferences - General (I'm guessing you're talking about the homepage for a new Tab in Safari)

External hard disk acquisition addict - but admitting the problem is the first step to a robust backup

And... please do not cross post. Only post the same question to one forum and continue with the same thread. I've merged your two posts together here.
