we're on an iMac OS 10.5.8 and it's making weird clicking sounds, seems to be mostly when we're online with Firefox.
The disc port does not work and the sound seems to be coming from that area but, of course, can't be sure.
Yes, we restart and sometimes it goes away and sometimes does not.
Any ideas?
How can I make a sound recording of the sound to send in?
Thanks.

A true "clicking sound" can be an indication of a bad hard drive.

Does this clicking sound happen when doing anything else? Because it's very important to differentiate if this clicking sound is actually happening inside the computer...or if it's simply an "audio sound" that occurs due to some sort of computer setting...or sound coming from some internet web pages.
