I have a 12inch ibook g4 that will not boot.
I get the chimes, then a brief file icon with an apple face then the apple logo on blue with the twirling clock. I have tried booting off the original cd. holding down the c key but nothing happens. Any advice would be greatly appreciated-thanks

The iBook cannot boot into OS9, it can only run OS9 through the 'Classic' emulation environment .

An OS9 disc is not going to help you boot that mac, are you sure the original 10.2 discs are the right ones and are not scratched or damaged?

Try booting holding option and see if the disk shows up then select it and boot. Do you have a tiger retail disk as well?
