Hi

Mac newbie here, having problems getting my printer to work. I have I Mac running OSx 10.7 and a Canon Pixma MG5150 which is plugged via usb directly.

I have loaded the cd rom and run the install as required, however when I go to print an scan in systems preferences I cannot see the printer.

I have tried resetting the printer list but this also proves fruitless.

Rapidly going grey having searched pretty much every forum to no avail.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Try adding the printer to your Mac via the Print & Scan prefs pane.

Click the '+' sign at the bottom left and see if it will find your printer.

Hi,
Can you update the drivers/firmware via the Canon website? I note that it is not wireless and just USB..not such a bad thing but maybe time for an upgrade given you're on 10.7
