Hello, I have a 2008 macbook. The audio input and internal mic recently stopped working. I went to the audio/midi set-up pane and checked to see if everything was correct, as it was. I noticed that the M (mute) fader in the audio input section of audio devices is stuck to the left position. I can't move it or change any of the values. I am starting to think that my logic board is fried. Does anyone know how to fix the problem without replacing the board?

Thanks

Try a PRAM reset to see if that gets the sound adjustment back to normal.
