New fonts wont load into office 2011 for mac

I have used fontbook to install a new font (.ttf)into users and placed the font into Windows Office Compatible but the font will not display in the office fonts drop down list. Can anyone help?

G'day and welcome to the forums.

Third Party fonts are not supported in Office for Mac. Have a read of this:-

Harry is right. MS Office is Font fussy. There are some work arounds posted on the web - do a search. I had a problem installing some music TTF fonts and used that approach but it's been ages ago and I can't find the article right now.

Third Party fonts are not supported in Office for Mac. Have a read of this:- http://support.microsoft.com/kb/295062 *Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!*
