Finder Randomly Fritz. Shows Code in Menu Bar & on Right Click

So, I've been having a problem with Finder. It will randomly go on the fritz, showing what seems to be code instead of the menu items when right clicking, or when visiting the menu bar. No other programs are affected.
I'm on a Macbook Pro 2.4 Intel Core 2, 4GB DDR and all software updates pertaining to the OS.
Here's a picture of what it does. Relaunching won't help, I need to restart for it to go away. I haven't been able to figure out what causes it, it will just randomly change.
Does anyone have a clue what might be causing this??
