When I import or save a file to pdf on my iMac it saves it as a huge file. For instance, a 100kb word file becomes a 10mb pdf. Same happens when I scan a document to pdf. Any suggestions on what causes this and how to correct it?

Are the files you're importing contain a lot of graphics or cells?
