Have you checked their web site to see if there are drivers for OS X? Without drivers it's likely not going to be recognized. Do you need to connect it to your Mac in order to download updates and additional maps?

    hi
yes have even phoned them. they told me to watch naviextra.com for updates but said macs dont support the system so was just seeing if anyone out there had a solution. the maps are still good but an update wouldnt hurt.
    thanks
