Easy Image utility to MAC Book Pro
I am not a MAC man but has a brother who is and who I want to help. He will often mess on his MAC book and it ends off with a reinstall ..
I always used to make Image of my Windows machines and a great fan of it.

What I seek is a similar piece of software for the Mac.

    The requirement:
have to make a complete image, as in Restoring, then have a running machine.
His plan is to create a Windows partition, the program must also cut handel this windows partition and restore the windows partition..
User interface must be simple and easy to walk to.
    Cloning of HD.
Backup file of selected folders to it's own imagefil.
    Using an external USB HD.
Do not know if it is software that can handle a network drive directly to the Backup / Restoring.

Mac Mini i5 (2014 High Sierra), iPhone X, Apple Watch, iPad Pro 12.9, AppleTV (4)
Look at SuperDuper or CarbonCopyCloner for a disk cloning solution

and Time Machine as an ongoing system backup.
