When recent windows user decided to switch to osx never regretted it! though I had this issue with youtube videos using firefox I donno if anyone has seen this before and if it is a known issue, This screen shot was taken on my mac book pro late 2011. I just hope it not a graphics card issue, I downloaded the video card switcher.

Try this

Right-click on the video, select Settings, select the first tab and take the checkmark out of 'Enable hardware acceleration.
