When will OS XI be out?

OS X has had 7 major versions since it's release. OS X being an os family more than a specific OS.

10.4
10.5
10.6
10.7

I'm not sure we'll see an OS XI, or if (at that point) the whole thing will be renamed.

Not necessarily OS 9 never made it to 9.3. I think it will depend more upon when the next major re-think occurs rather than after a specific number.

Or maybe when they run out of big cats for codenames. Looking forward here to Mac OS 11.0 Coyote.

It will be called Mac iOS Platypus and be bundled with Internet Explorer and a free Compuserve trial. I read it on a blog so it's probably true.
