For some reason, I can no longer access or create encrypted disk images from my account. I can do it from the root account, but not mine (yes, I am an administrator). The image in question was created in my account, not the root. Whenever I try to open the image or do anything to it in Disk Utility, I get an "authentication error" before it even prompts me for the password. I checked the permissions and everything looks fine. I booted from my install CD and repaired permissions on all of my drives, but that didn't help. I opened it in root and copied all of enclosed files to my other account's desktop, and they all work fine. I just don't want to have to login as root to access my files. Have I offended my computer?
