G'day and welcome to the forums.

Tiger is now an old operating system and Safari to match is also old. If you give your computer specs may be able to suggest alternatives but pretty hard guessing.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

Mac Specs: Black MacBook 2.2GHz C2D, 4GB Ram - iMac G4 700MHz, 512MB Ram

Not much info there. I've had safari quit on me before when I went to a site with many flash animations and it started eating up RAM. That's part of the reason I only use FireFox or Camino on my older Macs.


Depending on your specs, you could be having the same problem I was.
