Snow leopard and new hard drive

Hi I am going to install a new hard drive in my MBP a1212 the only operating disc I have is a new snow leopard install, is this all I need after I install the new drive, ? Any help will be great thanks

The easiest way to do this would be to install the old drive into an external enclosure and then clone the old to the new using something like CCC or SuperDuper!. In this way, you don't even need a disc and you won't even after to bother with reinstalling your software or backing up data.

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

Hi thanks for the reply, hear is my problem my old op sys is stuck frozen?reset the password and now it will only let me get to the network page, I enter my network password and it just sits there and will not go any further , and I do not have the oem discs, I bought this 2nd hand, can you give me any pointers?
