I would like to know if matroska is available for mac osx or something just as good. Also, has anyone had any problems with .mkv or .ogm files? I am planning on getting a mac mini but i just have a few questions about compatibility before i make a decision, thanks.

of course i searched with google before i asked, thats a given, but all i found were tools concerning matroska, so apparently there is a mac version that i have not found yet, or there needs to be some sort of emulator which is a last resort...

in that link the only thing close to what i am looking for is the library, and since i dont have a mac yet, i guess my next question is it like linux in which i ahve to compile all programs myself?

or is there a whole other set of codecs specifically designed for macs that play the files i mentioned before?
QUOTE Thanks
