Problem installing Snow Leopard on macbook Air

HI there

Anybody any suggestions...?

I am trying to reinstall system on Macbook Air and this is msg which occur trough the install.....

I am missing some essential system software....

Mac Specs: iMac i5 2.7GHz OS X.9.4

What type of system discs are you using? Full retail install black DVD and not silver/grey system, discs from another machine?

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

+1 on Harry's advice.

And, how new is your MacBook Air? You can't install an old OS on newer equipment due to missing drivers. Don't think that is an issue just yet with Snow Leopard, but it will be as the pipeline empties and Apple upgrades components.

I've always wanted to be smart, handsome and modest. But, I guess I'll have to be satisfied with two out of three . . .

Those two DVD's I get with MB Air....

I was trying to use dvd on the left side on picture.

The thing is that I am going to sell that MB Air and I need to be shore that all of my data are gone ...
