I have the Mac listed in my signature. The DVD drive reads pressed DVDs and DVD-R perfect, doesn't read any DVD+R (had to try) and I just got a 25 pack of Ritek DVD-R Dual Layer and the drive kicks out both blank (yes I know it doesn't burn dual layer but was testing it to see if it was a bad burn) and a disc copy of OS X 10.5. I burned it on my PC (it was an image), did I do it wrong or are these discs just not compatible with this drive?

Sounds like you better stick with DVD+R and quality brands such as Verbatim. Disc copy of Leopard? You do have the full retail install DVD which is black coloured? It is a dual layer disc.
Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer! |
