12-16-2011, 10:55 PM #1Need help ejecting osx install disk. HELP!
My hard drive is going out and the os x start up disk is in the computer and when I use disk utilities to get it to eject it says to make sure the applications are closed but when I try to quit the mac os x install it says restart the computer or dont restart or choose startup disc. I need to know how to eject. Im scared that if I leave it in there while I install the new hard drive it is going to mess up the disk someway.
Is there a way to do a force eject but I do not want to take a chance and mess up this expensive os x disk.2006 15" MacBook Pro

Will the disk get messed up at all or have a chance of getting messed up if I leave it in there while I replace my hard drive? It is driving me crazy.

I got it out. I just restarted the computer and held the eject button while it turned on and it came out.
