I recently sold a MacBook that I had upgraded to OS X Lion. I did a complete reset but now the new owner reports that the computer wants the original ID to get updates.

Does he need a new copy of Lion? Is there a simple fix for this?

Thanks!
Jay

He may have to download Lion under his own ID

But if its updates to OS Lion, then you can manually download the 10.7.2 update from Apple
