iPhoto mail configure

i have mac lion pro with iPhoto 11, 921 i am on orange mail and want to configure iPhoto to send photos direct using my mail account (orange). i have copied the details from my mail account settings and for the life of me i keep getting outgoing server is not responding ?my normal mail works fine . can you help.
