Delete button won't work!

Yesterday as I was using my iMac, the delete button randomly stopped working. I thought it was just a glitch when it began working again but for some reason, it only worked for a few minutes until it stopped working yet again. Help?

G'day and welcome to the forums.

Have you tried a reboot and Repair Permissions in Disk Utility > Utilities > Applications?

Have you tried a reboot and Repair Permissions in Disk Utility > Utilities > Applications? *Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!*
