cant access safari

just got a new G4 and can connect to internet via ethernet cable but only get as far as apple site, cant get safari and it crashes if we try the google search bar which appears along side it but we can get access to the saved sites only - any ideas?? thanks

does anyone know if its possible/if so how to transfer airport card from our old G4 to this one? Old G4 had Tiger Os upgraded to leopard on it; this one has panther on it....dont know if that makes any difference.
