how do i upgrade from tiger to snow leopard

how do i upgrade from tiger to snow leopard. i have a mac book late 2007 and its running tiger. i need to upgrade to snow leopard to use software i have. i am totally confused by online advice can you please help this irish brain and tell me what i need to do to upgrade. thanks

Posting your MacBook specs would help, but honestly all you probably need to do is order the Snow Leopard disk from Apple ($29 USD) and you are good to go.

I've always wanted to be smart, handsome and modest. But, I guess I'll have to be satisfied with two out of three . . .

Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (Australia)

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
