Hi there guys, ok my macbook pro has the Macintosh HD and Bootcamp (Windows7) For the past week when I shutdown my mac it wont restart to the normal windows screen which i have setup as default instead of mac. Its opening the Operating system which then gives me option to diagnose, defrag etc cant remember all the options, I did everything it told me but still no luck. I have just figured out that I could use OS X, but I want to get to the solution of why my windows is not working before I go into Apple as it is about an hours drive to get to the nearest store. I have also tried the shutdown and restart and pressing F8 to try the safe mode but still no luck
Please help...all ideas welcome

Which version of OS X is on your machine? What model, year MBP do you have? Post that info and we can go from there....

Update to OS X.6.8.

Go into System Preferences > Startup Disk and highlight the Windows partition and hit restart. You should then restart automatically in Windows. if not you have installed something a little amiss. Have you upgraded Bootcamp whilst in Windows by selecting Apple Software Updates under all programs?

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
