Sorry for what might be an obvious or easy deal. I will try to be direct!
i have installed Lion as upgrade to previous Snow Leopard OS. Problems galore have resulted and certain apps are hanging, crashing, etc Seems that clean install is good idea to eliminate possible messes and old extensions, etc, etc from 4 years of serious work. So, if I do a SUPER DUPER clone of my current system....it will be in Lion and not in Snow Leopard. Therefore, I don't know if I will be defeating the entire purpose of "clean install" by dropping the clone back into the system after my clean Lion install. Would it be necessary to ONLY reinstall data from a Snow Leopard clone drive in order to get any possible benefits of clean install. Hope this makes sense. THANKS!! |
