Hi does anyone know if this hard drive is compatible with a 13" Macbook Pro.

Western Digital WD7500BPVT Scorpio Blue / 750GB / 2.5 inch Internal SATA Hard Drive

I ask because I've attempted to clone my existing internal and tried to make it bootable without any joy.
QUOTE Thanks

How did you clone it, a mere copy will not work

You need to use a program like CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper

And first it needs formatting Mac OS Extended (Journalled), and under Partition > Options set to GUID. Then copy with the programs suggested.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

Yes I've tried both programs and formatted it using Disk Utility with a GUID partition. Do you think maybe the hard drive is incompatible?
I can boot externally but not internally.
