Hey guys, I just bought a microphone for my tutorial videos, and It wont work on my mac. I plug it into the headphone jack (There is no microphone jack) and then try setting my input as line in. But it wont work. I tried it on the same computer, but with windows, same thing. Is there any way I can get this to work? Its the same computer listed under my name.

Try turning up the volume for the mic input.
Some of those microphones with the 1/8" jack are hit or miss when being used on a Mac. IMHO... get a USB microphone or a USB headphone/microphone combo for better clarity and less hassle with OSX.MBP 11,3 | Logic Pro X | Ableton Live 9 | Traktor Pro 2 | AKAI MPC2000XL, X7000, MPK-49 | Roland MV-8000, SP-808, TR-707, TR-808 & TR-909 | Ensoniq ASR-10 | x0xb0x #911 & Willzyx | Denon DN-MC6000 | (3) Technics SL-1200MK1 | 4000+ vinyl records
