Aloha: i just brought a i pad and cant hook upto my mac desktop due to old software , need to install new osx 10.5 to run i pad. can someone help me find out where , what, & how &which to upgrade. ? mahalo ken.......

Yes:imac 5.1, 2 duo, 2.16ghz, 1g memory osx 10.4.11/ ipad2 32g wi fi

You cant buy it from Apple any longer, but as long as you get a retail version, which has the picture of the cat on the disk then ebay will get you what you need

Currently 10.6 Snow Leopard is in stock at the U.S. Apple Store:

Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.)

But only recently it was back-ordered as much as 3 weeks. Since 10.7 "Lion" is the most current Mac OS...10.6 Snow Leopard could disappear at any time.

So snap 10.6 up as soon as you can...or e-Bay may be your next best and maybe only choice.
