Dear Kevriano,
Wonder if you are out there and could possibly help me. Thank you for your previous help. I asked for help converting Panasonic's1080/50p files - preserving the brilliant quality of the original - into equivalent for mac. My operating system is 10.5.8 with Imovie '09. I have used Handbrake to convert the files but the resulting DVD I've made of the film isn't even up to that of my little Canon Digital Ixus 870. The resultant film has lines through it in a shimmery sort of way. Your original help was marvellous but I am obviously doing something wrong and I was hoping you might have some ideas. Do I need yet another prog. to convert to DVD? Your original link reply was as below ( if this helps connect up) "Handbrake is the best for sure, but it does take time, quality always does. The next 5 there are terrible, and should be avoided. They are basically the same software repackaged, and do an awful job. There are kind of "spam" software if you like. (iskysoft is another). I don't know, and can't find anything about the last one there. Now, in what way can your Mac not deal with the files? Not play them back, or not edit them?" What I am trying to do is put the original quality from the camera into the DVD. Any ideas gratefully welcome. My film is 40 mins long and has taken about eight weeks to convert so far!!! Is there another machine which will record straight to DVD from the Panasonic, or is this unnecessary? I'm a bit of a beginner at this so there may be a quicker way! Best wishes, Chris (applecbj) *************** |
