iCloud and my Address book, where should i be to edit it ? ?

hi all, i am getting to grips with iCloud at last and i like it a lot. It has uploaded my MacBookPro's address book, i can see at one time my email program added the email addresses of every email i ever received, i therefore need to delete a lot of them as the list is rather overwhelming.

I am very soon getting an iPhone which as well as uploading my Sim Cards Phone book it will also Sync with my Address Book in my iCloud.

Am i correct in assuming that my Phone Book entries will ALL be lumped together in my Address book ?

Furthermore i will obviously have to Delete a lot of my Entries, so that i only need do it once, where should i be when i delete or edit all these entries ?

Should i be in my iCloud, my MBP or my phone ?
