Dock an Icon

MacBook 10.6.8: Using Chrome 14.0.835.202 - how can I get the Chrome icon to remain in my dock; it appears when I open from Applications, but when I close Chrome it disappears; would like to not have to always go into Applications but just from the dock. Thanks!

Right click or control/click on it when its open i the dock and choose Keep in Dock. then just click and drag to place it where ever you want it in the dock . . .
