Just got a new Mac Mini - not sure how I feel about Lion yet. Anyway - used to be a downloads folder in the Window menu in Safari - no longer there. I miss it - used to use it to download vids from the web. Any idea how to get it back or Lion alternatives?

It's under View now instead of Window.

Actually the Downloads folder is accessible under the 'Go' menu.

To see download progress, check out the little box with the down arrow on the extreme right of the tool bar.

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

I feel really pathetic - sorry - but I'm not sure I have a "Go" menu. Where would that be?

The 'View Downloads' in Safari is greyed out when there are no downloads listed in it. When you start a download, you'll now have an icon to the right side of the search bar magically appear for quick access to it. That icon will disappear again whenever you clear the list and reappear with the next download.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.

I found the Go menu and it brings me to the downloads folder that is in the dock. I used to be able to paste URLs of videos into the download folder and it would download the video - can't paste into that folder like the old one. Any suggestions?
