Deleting Lines of Text in Terminal

I was wondering if there is a quicker way of deleting lines of text in Terminal quickly? Holding down backspace is really slow, and I figure there HAS to be a more efficient way!

Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

Control + U. That should do it for you.
