I had 25 GB (of 320 GB total) partitioned for Windows (that I used successfully for some time).
I deleted the partition, effectively making all 320 GB available for Mac OS X again. 70 GB of those 320 GB were unused and available. I used my time machine to back up my computer. I accidentally erased my HD. After a full system restore to yesterday's configuration, I now have 82 GB unused and available. Where did the 12 GB come from? Did restoring the machine effectively free HD space? Everything seems to be in place and working like normal. Where did the 12 GB of hard drive space come from?? Thanks, Barrett |
