Stuck items in finder window

I've several items a folder and two DVDS stuck/leftover in the finder window. They've been stuck there for a while and have survived an upgrade to Lion. This picture might help explain what I mean.

How do I remove them?

(10.7.1 on a Mac Mini)

what happens if you try and dragg them off the side? you should be able to dragg them off which should then remove them. Or if you open your finder then go to finder preferences it maybe in the options down the side as ticked if you untick it, it should disappear.

Hold down the Command key and drag the untitled DVD from Places in Finder to the desktop.
