Im running safari 5.1
I have used netshred to empty my cache/cookies as well as safari's delete cookies. but each time I re-open up safari it downloads a load of cookies again as in the the link to a screen capture album below, I have tried the demo version of Macscan, but it doesnt come up with anything, is there anything I can do to stop all the crap being downloaded straight off ? cookies pictures by negativepitch - Photobucket |

Do you have "Top Sites" loading in Safari? If so, turn it off as that will download cookies. Also, in Safari Preferences, Security, do you have "never" accept cookies checked off?

Safari Preferences> General> New Windows open with: Change 'Top Sites' to either empty page, or a.n.other. Also change 'New tabs open with: ' to empty page'. You can also remove the icon which calls up the 'Top Sites'. In the Bookmarks Tab of Safari Preferences, uncheck the 'Include Top Sites'.
